Recovering From Cold, Sore Throat. Inhaled Bleach Fumes, Smelling Tasting Bleach, Throat, Head Hurts, Stomach Upset. Remedy?

I am not sure how to explain all of this through this so I'll give it my best! I was helping my mom give a good deep clean to the house last night, which means...mostly bleach was used. I have already been trying to get over a cold (sore throat, stuffy/running nose and headaches). I think I may have inhaled too much bleach fumes...because all day today I've been smelling and tasting nothing but bleach. My throat feels like it is on fire, my head hurts, and my stomach is a little upset. I have been drinking water every second and have taken a hot shower...but nothing is working...what should I do??

Hi,
These are the symptoms of inhaling an excessive amount of bleach as you have noted. You have taken the correct action and your symptoms are likely to improve over the next 24 hours. Drink plenty of water. Go outside to the fresh air if possible. If your symptoms get worse then I suggest you go to the ED. Signs that would indicate a deterioration would be difficulty breathing, persistent coughing, increasing burning in your mouth and throat, reddening of your eyes, vomiting and chest pain.
