Recovering From Bad Cold, Still Struggling With Mucus Cough. What Maybe This ?

Hi,

I had a bad cold approximately 3 weeks ago. The symptoms were: headache, blocked nose, mucus cough and a sore throat. The symptoms eased after a week, but I am still struggling with a mucus cough, I feel forced to cough when I take deep breaths and I also have a pain in the center/left part of my chest. Can you advise what this maybe?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello
this pain can be musculoskeletal because of coughing...you must consult an ENT specialist and get chest x ray done to rule out chest infection and secondly get nasal endoscopy done so that focus of infection if there in nose can be ruled out.
