Recommend Treatment For Boils On Scrotum

Hi...I recently had a fistula surgery and before the surgery the hair around the scrotum was shaved off.A day after discharge from hospital,I notice small boils on scrotum which will have pus and I can drain the pus out.Please suggest me the reason for these boils and the solution.

Hi.
As per your case history you are having folliculitis on scrotal skin.
It is caused due to infection of hair follicles.

My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin with NSAID like ibuprofen taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
