Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 16 and have back spasms. I was gymnast for 6 years which is what started my back pain. Nothing showed on any xrays bone scans or MRIs. My mom decided that they are probably back spasms. It is a chronic deep achy pain in my lower back. It will go away for about a month but once it starts again the back spasms will be nonstop for a few weeks. Neither heat nor massaging works. Tonic water does not work either because they are not sudden acute spasms. Is there anything I can do to relieve the pain? I cannot even stand for an hour straight without getting bad back spasms which is kind of pathetic for a 16 year old. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Recommend Treatment For Back Spams
Hello I can understand your concerns. You are having back spasms. I think you should visit a physiotherapist and learn to practice back strengthening exrcises. When the spasm is acute, muscle relaxant like chlorzoxazone can be taken. Thanks
