Reason For Fluctuation In The Psa Level?

My psa level has fluctuated the past few years , especially being on Androgel. My recent psa level reading was 6 up from 4 in about 18 months time periods. My urologist has requested a biopsy and I was wwondering if it couldn't be from an infection and treated with antibiotics or from my hemmoroid problems?

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern regarding your psa level. Your psa level is only slightly high. No need to worry much about that. There are many causes of high psa level. Benign prostatic hyperplasia, acute prostatitis may leads to such psa level. You should go for prostatic biopsy once to rule out major cause. Don't worry just go for it once and take treatment accordingly.
