Good evening...I have a few questions regarding my niece who is in her 40's. She lives in Newfoundland, Canada and four weeks ago had a hysterectomy. The following day she had a very high temperature and was in extreme pain. When the doctor checked her stomach it was black and she was immediately taken down to surgery. When they opened her up all this puss poured out. She was on a breathing machine and kept very sedated but when they went to bring her out of this state, they had difficulty waking her. They then airlifted her from Gander to St. John's hospital and within a few days she was responding, and with in a week was talking and eating a little bit. This morning she took a seizure and is back in ICU. They are getting no answers from the doctors and just wondering what you think about this and maybe explain to me why this is happening or what could have caused all this. I had a hysterectomy and was up walking the same day, I just don't understand what could have gone wrong. Thank you....concerned Aunt Jan
