I had a patch placed on my perforated ear drum on Friday. Since then, I have discomfort when burping or large swallows. Is this built up pressure behind the paper patch that can't get through? I have not called the Doctor back to report the sensation, as I am wondering if it is normal. My other concern is that I will be traveling on a plane on Saturday, and I am fearful of how much pain I will have to endure due to the pressure change. Any advice is appreciated.
