Reason For Acute Testicle Swelling, Panic Attacks And Fever?
About six months ago after some weight lifting I noticed my right testicle was tender and higher than usual also it was at a bit of an angle I went to my doctor and got a ultra sound and the results came back that everything was ok, then about a month ago after another work out I started feeling sick and had a temperature and my scrotum swelled up I went to my doc and got another ultra sound and the results came back ok again but ever since my scrotum has been swelling up and down every day and I've been getting panic attacks as well, I've been to a urologist and he told me I have some acute swelling condition that there is no treatment for, which doesn't make sense to me why would this rare condition start affecting me now at 27 years old
Hi. This happens at the young age of 27 as the musculature is well developed. The testicle is attached to the abdominal muscles by cremaster muscle , which is an extension of abdominal wall muscles. During weight lifting or any activity contracting the abdominal muscle will raise the testicle and on way can cause a mild to moderate torsion causing the problem you faced. Sonography may be positive if torsion is minimal , although it caused sever pain. Have a second opinion of another Urologist ( Surgeon) or a General Surgeon. And the testis on right side is always at a higher level than the left.
