Rapid Heart Beat After Spinal Surgery, BMP Was Used In Surgery. Normal ECG. Any Ideas?
I have developed a rapid heart beat of 103 since spinal surgery some 6 months ago My blood pressure is 120/71. I have nad an echocardiogram done to check out a heart murmur and this is all okay. Doctors are puzzles. I believe that BMP was used in my spinal fusion surgery. Do you think there is any connections. Thank You. Rob
There is an old expression, “Post hoc ergo propter hoc”, meaning ‘after this, therefore because of this’ / It is natural human tendency and often possible to associate things with the immediate past. BMP might have a role / it is difficult to rule in or rule out... However, you should be investigated like any other cause of tachycardia (increased heart rate) / Discuss with your doctor..
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
