Random swelling on body and face lasts for few days and disappears, limited success with antihistamines. Solution?

I have been experiencing random swelling at various locations on my body lips , tongue , lining of cheeks mainly. It will last a day or two then disappear only to pop up at another location. Recently the swelling has started to occur above or below an eye. It switches from eye to eye a nd never lasts more than a day or two. Sometimes I will have a single finger on a hand swell and occasionally I have had swelling on either or both sides ofy upper buttocks on either side of my tailbone. I have tried antihistamines we limited success.

Thanks for the query,

You might be suffering from a condition called as urticaria.

It is an allergic condition.

There must be a particular food or any other item with which you are getting this allergy.

Even a new cloth or change in environment can cause this.

Try to notice it and eliminate it.

Treatment is with anti histamines like cetrizine.

Steroids might be required if it is severe.

This will give you some relief.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.

Let me know if you have any other doubt.

hi i had gone through your query and understand your concerns. i would come up with the possibility of ALLERGY-HIVES may be the cause for your sufferings.

-The body’s defense mechanism, the immune system, reacts to the allergen as if it were a dangerous organism, in trying to neutralize the antigen, the body releases histamine, which produces the allergy symptoms.

possible causes of allergy include;

-genetic predisposition
-food additives
-digestive inefficiencies
-insect bites
-intestinal worms

treatment option;
i advise you taking Homeopathic medicines gives safe and permanent cure for your complaints
