Radiation Therapy Due After Removing Frontal Dural Menegioma. What Does MRI Report Mean?

greetings...i had a left frontal dural menegioma removed 10/2/13...the pathology came back with atypical features and will begin radiation therapy next month. On my follow up MRI done earlier this week there is a new punctate nonspecific T2 Hyperintnsity finding deep in white matter right frontal lobe. My neuro is not on call this weekend and i am seeking information about what this may mean. It was not on my last MRI 9/13.

It may mean absolutely nothing and may be an artifact from the study (i.e. nothing to worry about) or it could signal the recurrence of the resected meningioma from 2013. Only your neurologist will be able to tell you for sure after examining you and finding out from your history if anything has been going on in the background that has been either obvious or subtle in terms of neurological function or dysfunction.
