Put Weight On Palm To Move. Knots Of Blood In Veins On Wrist. Numbness In Fingers

I put my weight on the palm of my hand to move my body while sitting on the sofa. It hurt and now for a couple of days now I have knots in my blood vains between my wrist and hand. I have also been experiencing my fingers going to sleep at night and waking up with bad pain in them like they are on fire. What could be going on?

Hi Shelly,

What you are experiencing is due to hurting you had while moving on the sofa by putting your weight on the palm of your hands.

That is a normal reaction to such "bad" muscle straining.

Keep the hands massaged; if the pain is within the first 24 hours, then, can use cool compresses; if more, than, can use local painkiller cream.

It would take some time until the sensation of your fingers will be back again and you will not feel pain again as they underwent such high and bad pressure.

If no improvement, can consult a neurologist.

Hope it helped!
