Put Stent In Kidney Due To Stones. Severe Headaches. Could This Be Due To Calcium Not Being Absorbed?

In regards to my bf; he recently went thru passing some kidney stones over a period of like 4-5 months, they had put in a "j" stent, then blast the stone two different times to break it up so he could pass them. So he passed them, they finally took out the stent and when we got the lab diagnostics of his stones and learned that his body doesn't break down calcium and that's how the stones were formed.
So let me go back to like5-6 years back, he would get these headaches, bad like at least one a day, up to 3-4 times even. He'd have to jump in a hot shower, that was the only thing that would take it away. Then it wouldn't happen for a few months, then it would start up again. Well during the process of passing the stones he didn't have any headaches. The day after they took the stent out, he's been getting the headaches again, now I assumed maybe from his diet, but we've tried to be aware of the calcium intake trying to avoid the headaches. With no luck, still at least 1-2 headaches still. Then last night he had an unhealthy poop, with pepper looking pieces, would any of this give him these headaches?

Hi, Your boy friend passed kidney stones, doctors put in a stent, and blst them, 6 years back he had head ache.
The kidney stones can cause head ache if there is infection as well. Other causes of head ache may be hypertension, sinusitis, anxiety and tension.
Alprazolam usually helps to controle the headache.
Thank you.
