Hi,
As you are a diabetic, You have to be very careful as the wound you have will take a long time to heal. Get proper therapy for the infection as Pseudomonas infection is common and is treatable if sensitive antibiotics are taken on time.
Also I want to emphasise on the point that diabetic ulcer is usually non healing type. Your surgeon can help you here. You have to get your ulcer wound properly debrided (meaning removing all the dead tissue) and dressed properly.
Your sugar levels have to bekept under control for fast healing.
Wish you a fast recovery.

Pathologist and Microbiologist Dr. Siddartha's  Response
Hello
welcome to health
You are a diabetic for the past 25 yrs,,1st check your blood glucose levels...and normalise the levels the levels by using medications or insulin..
before getting your glucose levels normal treatment of your infection becomes too difficult...after controlling the levels by asking consulting your physician,,,you need to take antibiotics according to your culture sensitivity for at least 7-10 days..
Consult general surgeon for further suggestion.
Have a speed recovery.
Thank you
