Hi there, Shingles usually affect a certain part of the body in a very specific distribution depending upon the nerve supply to that area. So i agree with you doesn t soud like Herpes Zoster(shingles). There are two things in my mind what it could be, 1: Urticarial Vasculitis(a form of cutaneous vasculitis,an inflammatory condition of the skin vasculature due to a variety of causes). 2:Bullouse Lichen Planus (another chronic inflammatory condition of the skin). At this point i would have asked you few questions but as you know its not possible at the moment,so i would stongly suggest to consult a dermatologist because it needs a proper investigations before reaching to a conclusion.
