Purple-red Sore Tissue Band Anterior To Palate With Runny Nose, Sore Throat, Extreme Fatigue, No Fever. What Could This Be?

My son has a purple-red band of tissue , just anterior to the palate . There are no ulcers or bumps. It is sore, though not severely. He was ill last week with a runny nose, sore throat (not in the same area or appearance) and extreme fatigue (slept in 12-14 hour sessions). There is no fever, could this be the start of a secondary bacteria infection or another virus.

AGE IS NOT SPECIFIED.
ASSUMING THE CHILD IS BETWEEN 5 YEARS AND 12 YEARS.
1. CHILD IS HAVING VIRAL INFECTION,
2. BECAUSE OF RUNNING NOSE, HE TRIES TO SWALLOW THE CONTENTS DRIPING ON TO HIS MOUTH FROM THE POSTNASAL AREA. (POST NASAL DRIP),
3. THIS CAN LEAD TO SECONDARY BACTERIAL INFECTIONS.
SUGGESTION:
1. GARGLE WITH SALT AND WARM WATER TWICE DAILY . IN THE MORNING AND BEFORE GOING TO BED.
2. A CUP OF LUKEWARM MILK WITH TURMERIC SPRINKLED OVER THE MILK DAILY.
3. AMBROXYL = SYRUP 5 ML TWICE DAILY
4. MULTIVITAMIN - SYRUP 10 ML DAILY
5. PLENTY OF FLUIDS, LEMON JUICE, ORANGE JUICE, SEMI SOLID FOODS
6. AMOXYCILLIN 250MG THRICE DAILY , AT 8 HOURS INTERVAL.
REVIEW AFTER 1 WEEK.
