Pulsing Pain In Head Above Ears, Pressure On Both Sides Of Head, Dizziness, Difficulty Sleeping. Causes?

i have this pain for several months straight. this pain of ticking on side of my head, above my ears, i feel presure on both sides of my head. i could feel all the veins in my head, if i stay or lay still i can just feel the veins in my head pumping. sometimes very difficult to sleep or concentrate, dizziness at times. so far no help

Hi!

You have not mentioned your age in your history. The causes differ in different age groups. If you are over 30 years then elevated blood pressure could be causing the headache. You would need a detailed evaluation and use of antihypertensive drugs. Migraine is also one of the causes that needs to be considered. You can use a combination of ergotamine ,caffeine and paracetamol for short term pain relief.
