Pulse Rate 100. Blood Pressure 150/99. Prescribed Supermet. Suggested Stamp Beta. What Can Be Done?

Recently my pulse rate is very high around 100. And symptoms of bp were there. Levels were around 150/99, I met my family doctor and he advised supermet xl 25 it wasn't effective hw advised supermet xl 50 for 4 months .but when ever I had a tablet the levels arouare controlled later the bp levels again shots up.
I went to another cardiologist and hw suggested stamp beta. From then onwards my levels are normal.
My age is 38 height is 165 cm and weight is 78 kg. Whats my health condition and ur advice required......

1. Since your BP is controlled now, you should continue with the medication. Do see your cardiologist at regular intervals.
2. Your body mass index is 28. This should be 3. Avoid smoking. Avoid high salt diet. Do regular exercise under supervision.
