Prolactin, Cholesterol Levels Very High, Kidney Function Test Abnormal. Take Sopadol, Valium, Effexor. Problem?

My doctor called me with blood results and told me to go to the emergency room. He said my prolactin levels and cholesterol were very high and my liver (GGT around 2000 among other things) and kidney function tests were abnormal. I regularly take Sopadol (acetaminophen 500mg and codeine 30mg) for migraines and very bad headaches. I also take valium 5mg 3x daily and effexor 37.5 once daily. I don't understand why he wants me in the ER, he wouldn't say over the phone and I don't like the doctors in the ER (been there a number of times), What could be wrong?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

He likely wants you to go because of the increased prolactin , kidney function and liver function tests levels.
An GGT of 2000 is extremely high and would normally require emergency assessment to determine the cause and initiate treatment.Increased GGt can occur in disease of the liver, pancreas or biliary tract.Imaging tests such as ultrasound or CT would likely be suggested to take a closer look at the abdomen.

A CT of the brain may also be suggested based on the increased prolactin level. Prolactin is a hormone that it released in the brain.Increased values can be related to a small mass that is secreting excess of this hormone.

It would be best to go to the ER as your doctor suggested.

I hope this helps
