Problems From Long Term Use Of Dexedrine?
I am currently supposed to be taking 3 tablets of Dexedrine 5 mg each but I am having trouble remembering to take them 3times a day so I have tended to take them all at once. I am also taking 350 mg of Effexor. What if any problems may arise from such long-term use of Dexedrine? Is there another form of Dexedrine which does not require me to take more than once.

When used for long periods of time or at high doses, Dexedrine may not work as well and may require higher doses to obtain the same effect as when originally taken. This is known as TOLERANCE. Talk with your doctor if Dexedrine stops working well. Do not take more than prescribed.
Some people who use Dexedrine for a long time may develop a need to continue taking it. People who take high doses are also at risk. This is known as DEPENDENCE or addiction. If you suddenly stop taking Dexedrine, you may experience WITHDRAWAL symptoms. These may include severe fatigue and drowsiness.
Dexedrine is available in sustatined release preparations and you may discuss that with your doctor.
