Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
This condition is not fully curable as it is due to degenerative arthritis in the lower spine. Certain medications such as anti-inflammatory drugs can be helpful for back pain and other medications such as pregabalin or gabapentin can help with sciatica or nerve pain. Controlling your weight, exercising - particularly focusing on core strength can be of benefit, physiotherapy can help. Surgery is indicated in patients who have pain because of nerve root compression in their spine. Generally a surgery is not recommended for degenerative disc disease.
