Pressure/ Dullache In Back Of Head Right Side, Psoriasis On Scalp And Body, Get Burning Sensation. Any Ideas ?

Hello I am a 34 yr old woman who six weeks ago noticed a strange sensation ( pressure/dullaching) in back of head occipital area right side only. I have psoriasis on scalp and body and didn't think anything of it. Also started feeling fullness ache in right ear. After two weeks of this localized ache did I discover a slight swelling g on right side right where the occipital ridge meets the center "soft spot" At base of scull. I can draw a circle the size of penny around it. It is tender but doesn't necessarily feel like bean shape. Been to nurse practitioner twice and am at wits end. First said it was slight node swelling barely palpable w instructions to return in two weeks if not better. Did not go away is constant even in sleep. Went back again 3 weeks later saw second nurse practitioner and he said it really didn't feel like node swelling though he said there was some swelling of some sort there. Said tension headache take excederin migraine. Nothing is working. I get tingling burning sensations on right side head which runs up right side of scalp. Sore to sleep on and causing tremendous worry. Have no other signs of illness like fever sore throat etc. nurse told me my right and left ears looked clear. I am starting to notice some increased pressure like sinus pressure but only on right side w no other obvious symptoms of sinus infection. I feel crazy but I know it's really there. I even took 800 mg of ibrupofen and didn't do a thing. You cannot see this bump w naked eye and its only barely perceptible to husband. Any ideas? Also, I am going to call gp again but they r just nurse practitioners. What kind of dr. Should I be looking for to reexamine this issue?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your description. Based on details provided, the differential diagnosis would include lipoma, lymph node and sebaceous cyst. However, your symptoms are most likely not connected to the swelling.
Your symptoms are most suggestive of tension headache and migraine.
You should consult a neurologist.
Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
