Presence Of Blood In Semen. Culture Report Showed Pseudomonas. No Extramarital Relation. How Is It Possible?

I have a 59 year old friend who had one incident of blood in his semen . His doctor requested for transrectal prostate gland ultrasound and semen culture. Results- grade II prostamegaly and culture showed Pseudomonas. He has been married for more than 30 years without estramarital relations. How is it possible for his semen to be infectd?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
Infection of the urine or semen need not always be related to STD.
It is just ascending infection and anyone can contract this.
He needs treatment for the infection and should become normal AFTER THE COURSE.
