Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Macalvit is a calcium supplement.

It is usually prescribed to infants in supplemental doses.

It is not mandatory to use it, but it will improve the bone growth in infants and corrects any underlying deficiency.

The dose is correct and there is no need of any blood test prior to its supplementation.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
