Prescribed dolonex dt for TMD. Right medicine?

sir i had dull throbing pain in my left ear, jaw half of my face for 10 days. i consulted an ent doctor and then a dentist . i m diadnosed to have TMD and am advised to take tab dolonex dt 20 mg bd 10 days tab tizan 2mg tds 10 days is it the right medicine i should take ? or shoild i ask the doctor to chnge my medicines? or should i consult another doctor? kindly advice me the right way bcoz i m afraid to take tab Tizan.

Hi thanks for your question.
Dolonex is piroxicam which is non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (pain killer) and Tizan is Tizandine which centrally acting muscle relaxant.Both drugs are right for the treatment of TMD.There is nothing to afraid of,continue medicine as advised by your treating physician.

Hello dear...
The medications advised by your Doctor are correct.
Tab dolonex dt is a pain killer
Tab tizan is a muscle relaxant
Both are meant at providing symptomatic relief in TMD.
So...please continue them as advised. tizan may cause hypotension. will be better to get your blood pressure checked & then start the medications.
