Hello,l Welcome to HCM, I am Dr. Das

Look, ultrasound did not show presence of any sign of pregnancy. If there was a pregnancy, that must got detected during the ultrasound.

Now, susten contains progesterone analogue. It helps in inducing period in absence of pregnancy. But in presence of pregnancy it helps in protecting the pregnancy.

So, when a patient comes to us with missed period, we first look for pregnancy. If it is negative, then we suggest this progesterone analogue.

IN your case, you have to wait for 7 days after completion of the drug. If bleeding does not occur, you have to consult with your first doctor for D&C to start period. Your second doctor is not right.

Hope it will help.

Regards.
