Prescribed Prochlorperazine, Amitriptyline For Pain In Face, Nausea, Breathlessness. Your Opinion?

hi doc, taking the following from the day before yesterday: 1. prochlorperazine maleate 1-0-1 for 10 days.

2. Cap Betacap TR 40 mg 1-0-0 for 10 days.

3. chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline 1-0-1 for 10 days.

4. methylcobalamin, alpha lipoic acid, pyridoxine hydrochloride and folic acid tablets 1-0-0 for 10 days. These medications were prescribed by an experienced ENT specialist for the patient's complaint of:

Pain felt on the face and around the lips, eyes, nose, scalp, and forehead. also runs through the cheek, teeth and gums, upper jaw and side of the nose. choking sensation, feeling of short of breath, feeling of vomiting, intermittent dizziness but not positional vertigo, and fear of death and anxiety as a result of all this. NOTE: i am also breastfeeding my 1-1/2 yr old son. the ENT doctor also suggested lifestyle modifications: bath by 10 am, avoid the sun (afternoon), avoid sweets, and avoid oily foods. in fact, i used to take my first bath between 12 pm and 3 pm only daily.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
I have seen the detailed history that you have provided. The medicines that you are currently taking are sufficient. If there is any pain then you might consider adding a mild pain killer to this regimen.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. You can consult me again directly through my profile URL http://bit.ly/Dr-Praveen-Tayal
