Prescribed Duphaston, Susten After Conceiving. Safe To Take Together With Folomega?

Dear sir/mam

I had just conceived(one week). I had one case of MC during Nov last yr . The pregnancy was not confirmed in the KIT but is confirmed by blood test (Report is 0000).But this time my doctor has recommended me Susten 400 (to be inserted) along with Dupaston 10mg (one tab daily).

As both of them for Progesterone, Kindly let me know whether it is safe to take both the above medicine along with FOLOMEGA (Folic acid).
kindly let me know ,what would have tempted my doctor to prescribe the both medicine for me ?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
You can take both the medicines, it won't harm you or your baby.
Though both are progesterone, some doctor's believe in giving aggressive therapy thinking that it will prevent abortion. Another thinking is that if because of absorption problem, one doesn't work, other drug should be there to work. Its difficult to predict what would have tempted my doctor to prescribe the both medicine, but as both are safe, you can continue both.
