Hi, Any bleeding in pregnancy apart from the implantation bleed is abnormal and a cause for investigation and proper management. It may be due to a hormonal imbalance as happens many-a-time and is corrected with proper and adequate hormonal supplementation and bed rest. You should take absolute bed rest, avoid intercourse and all stress situations. You should have serial sonograms coupled with serum beta-hCG titres to follow the progress of the pregnancy to allow interference at the earliest indication. Do not worry, with proper monitoring majority of such cases go to full term and deliver healthy babies. Good luck.
