Pregnant, Insulin Not Under Control. What To Do?

Hello, i am 26 weeks pregnant. I had a sandwich this morning for breakfast and my glucose was 156 before and 175 after. i did not eat anything before my lunch and my glucose was 230.. After lunch it went to 174.. I had a sugar free candy bar or chocolate bar 2 hours later for lunch. Before dinner glucose was 220 and after 240 nothing was lowered.. I gave insuline and 4 hours later i did not eat anything glucose 223.. I cannot lower it at all so i gave insuline now and lowered it to 121.. What should i do? Why is my sugar so hight? I had a piece of chicken and broccoli for lunch..

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Your blood glucose levels are very high and are worrisome. You need to start with insulin therapy to control these raised blood glucose levels. Do consult your gynecologist regarding the same. Avoid high calorie foods.
