Pregnant, Hypothyroid, On Thyrox And Prescribed Triple A Cal. Are There Any Side Effects ?

My wife has 3 weeks of pregnancy. She has Hypothyroid and till now she is taking “Thyrox 100” tablet for the same. Additionally, our Dr has prescribed her "Triple A Cal" tablet. Is this tablet has any side effect?
Is any other better calcium tablet exist which does not have any side effect. Please give some suggestion for both issues?

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns for your wife. Having hypothyroidism is not a barrier for pregnancy as it has been adequately treated. She might need to have her thyroid levels monitored more frequently during the period of her pregnancy. Also a calcium tablet does not have any side effect or adverse reaction for the baby. I do not believe you need medical attention for the same. Please consult your OBGYN for the regular antenatal visits. I hope this helps. Good luck with her pregnancy, take care and have a lovely day!
