Pregnant, Has Stabbing Chest Pain, Shortness Of Breath

I m 29 weeks pregnant and I think my son may have broken one of my ribs but I m not sure bc the pain is up so high. It feels as though I m being stabbed in the chest but I m not having the normal shortness of breath that would accompany a broken rib. Just slightly having a hard time breathing . How would a dr treat this since I m pregnant?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
It seems that you have a muscular injury of the chest. Since you are pregnant, the beswt way to treat is to take a mild pain killer like acetaminophen and do a hot fomentation in the area. You can apply a local analgesic gel also for relief. It is likely to subside in 2 weeks.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
