Hello
Thank you for your query.
It is not recommended ideally during pregnancy, and especially with a condition like gestational diabetes, to take any kind of supplements without medical advice, so I would advise you not to do so.
Moreover, you need to act in strict concert with your obstetrician, physician and a Dietician.
I think you urgently need a Dietician.
Your condition will normalize once you deliver, but being a Type 1 Diabetic means you have to live with it, and adapt to it.
Small frequent meals, and sensible eating to a great extent will allow you to lead a normal life.
Please consult a Dietician for a thorough dietary chart, with specific instructions on what foods to take, at what times and in what amount.
Please do not lose hope, as you have a lifetime ahead, and you need to keep yourself healthy and focussed.
Take care.
