Pregnant, Cold Symptoms, Light Headed, Rapid Heartbeat Palpitation, D Dimer Level 1050. Advise?

Hi I am 24 weeks pregnant and have cold symptoms .. I went to ER 3 days ago due to feeling light headed and felt rapid heart beat palptation lasting few minutes, did not pass out. I don't have chest pain or pain when I take deep breath, emerge Dr did d dimer level and was 1050, did dopler and waS NEGATIVE for DVT, I am kind of worried about elevated d dimer , what could it be ? I do feel tired easily (I attributed it to pregnancy and cold )

Dear user, welcome to healthcare magic.
Yes you are right. Palpitations (attacks of rapid heart beats) and air hunger are normal symptoms during pregnancy. They may be aggravated by anemia or inadequate sleep or rest.
D dimer is a nonspecific marker and it normally rises during pregnancy. It is a good negative test (if negative there is no DVT) but it may be positive for many reasons.
You have nothing to worry about only check your hemoglobin level and take some rest.
Good luck.
Dr. Ahmed Bahaa.
