Pregnant And Feeling Discomfort In Tummy. When Will I Start Noticing Increase In Size Of Stomach?
I am 8 weeks and 5 days pregnant,I feel a kind of discomfort in my tummy, can't find the right position to sleep and moreso,I don't have blue veins on my breast although it has increased in cup size and when will I start noticing increase in my tummy?
Hello madam...well uterus is a pelvic organ till 12 weeks of gestation, the uterus could be palpable only after 12 weeks...so you could feel your tummy growing from second trimester onwards...when you reach 22-24 weeks, the uterus can be felt at the level of the umbilicus...It is ideal to sleep to a side rather than supine position, because as your uterus starts growing, the gravid uterus goes and pushes the inferior venacava, resulting in aorta caval compression resulting in supine hypotension, this can cause fetal bradycardia during term gestation...Ideally the recommendation is to sleep in left lateral position, start sleeping to a side from now, so that you don't feel difficulty at term...hope i was helpful to you. ...
