Pregnant And Blood Test Showing Free Beta HCG. Anything Serious?
Hi there I'm currently 12 weeks an 4 days pregnant an go for my nuchal trans an downs screen tomorrow , I've received my blood test results today but the doctor didn't say much the test says free beta HCG 68 IU/L and PAPP-A 1.8 IU/L that's all that is on the paper what does this actually mean in regards to the chance of the baby having downs or the nuchal?
Hi, Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. The beta HCG and PAPP A value should be correlated with your age, weight and other comorbidities to come to ABSOLUTE RISK of Downs. If the risk is less than 1:250 then its high risk. Please ask if you have more questions. If you are satisfied, please make sure that your ACCEPT my answer so that I receive credit. Good luck!!
