Pregnancy, Abortion Due To No Heart Beat. What Care And Treatment Should Be Taken For Next Pregnancy?

Sir, last one and half year i got married, feb 2012 i got pregnant, but with the reason of no heart beat i got abortion D&C for 3moths pregnancy... now i am taking rest ..... so plz guide for me about my next pregnancy, how to take care for getting baby without any abortion... after how many days i try to used t get pregnancy for next time....is there any treatment before conceiving to avoid abortion next time....

Hi Usha,

I do not think the previous abortion will affect you in any way for your next pregnancy. The problem occurs when you have 2 or more unexplained pregnancy loss consecutively.

The reason for your first abortion is not known. It is good that you are taking rest. There are a few basic blood tests that should be done, please get them done.

Also, get screened for TORCH infections, thyroid dysfunction, and a scan of the uterus to check for any abnormality there.

Attend the antenatal clinic regularly when you get pregnant.

You can try conceiving now.
