It would be very informative if u could kindly mention ur age, profession involved in.
It usually happens after a long day tiresome travel as u've mentioned. Try taking bath before going to bed with lukewarm water and reading some good books with a soft music played at a very low volume and having soundful thoughts without trying hard to recall any untoward incidents in the recent past and have a few sips of water.
Please do not think about the sleeplessness
and corelate anything with respect to that.
