Post-concussion Syndrome After Accident. Botex No Relief. Will Use Of Marijuna Help Without Side Affects?

My sister is got into a car accident two years ago and has suffered re-occuring chronic migranes at least 3 to 4 times a week since then. She was diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome and none of her medications do anything to alleviate her pain. She was using botox for a while, but now that no longer helps with the migraines. We were discussing possibly alternate treatments such medical marijuana and based on what I was reading, the results seems to contradict each other. I am wondering if she would be putting herself in danger or exacerbating her condition by using marijuana to help manage her pain.

Hello,
Thanks for the query
We need to find out the cause of the recurrent headaches. I think that better to get a brain scan repeated and get evaluated by a local neurologist. I disagree on the use o marijuna. Medications that may help are amitryptiline, valproate, topiramate etc.
Please get back if you need any additional information
Best wishes
