Hello and welcome to HCM

Your doctor is very right ti stop Diane 35 as you plan pregnancy. It is used to treat certai type of acne but its use in pregnancy is contraindicated.

A number of medications are not used during pregnancy as they affect the baby.

Folvite is a preparation containing folic acid and multivitamins. It is safe during pregnancy. Infact this is a preparation which is recommended during pregnancy. Folic acid helps to prevent neural tube defects in the baby and multivitamins are needed for proper growth and development of the baby.

Omega 3 fatty acids are important for neurodevelopment of the baby. It is a fatty acid which is not synthesized in the body.

It has to be taken in the diet. Richest source in nature is sea food.

To obtain omega 3 in diet, a variety of food stuffs should be consumed like- vegetable oils, two fish servings/ week and supplements.

Omega 3 can be safely used in pregnancy and infact it has a beneficial effect.

Regarding your acne problem, you have consult your dermatologist. However, it has to be suspended during pregnancy.

Thanks and take care
