Hello and welcome to HCM Acne, black heads and white heads on face are due to excessive secretion of sebum from sebaceaous glands. Sebaceous glands are activated during adolescence under the influenze of hormones. Blockage of the ducts/ pores of these glands by dirt or keratin plugs cause black heads and white heads respectively. Drinking plenty of water is good. However, the already present black heads and white heads need to be removaed machanically. Black head/ white head remover removes the already present ones. To prevent further development proper cleansing of face is necessary which should be followed by toner and moisturiser. Using a cleanser alone keeps the pores open and traps more dirt. Infection of the heads causes acne (pimples). Healing of pimples causes scarring. There are topica; preparations for the treatment of acne (pimples).
