Pimple On Lip,teeth Numb. Whitish Yellow Pus. Rinsed With Mouth Wash, itching. Problem?
Hi,
Just recently I woke up with a pimple on my lip that had came to a white head. It caused the side of my lip it was on to swell and it was painful and my teeth were numb. I ended up popping the pimple and whitish-yellowish pus came out. I went to the store and bought Abreva and some burts bees chapstick and ive been rinsing my mouth with listorine mouthwash. Now my lips are itching like crazy and the inside of my mouth is itching too. I went to my doctors today and he said it could be an allergic reaction (he said because I have ecema my body is allergenic) or he said it could have been an insect bite. He talked about oral herpes but said he would have to swab it to find out. The pimple has since became a bump. So he did not give me any type of meds. I have not had a fever or a sore throat. I also have pcos so my hormones are all over the place and i sometimes get breakouts. I'm just curious as to why my mouth is so itchy?
The above symptoms which you have mentioned can be due to an allergic reaction. I would suggest you to take an antiallergic drug. At home continue with the antiseptic rinses, take lukewarm saline rinses. Avoid consumption of hot and spicy foodstuffs. Avoid smoking and consumption of alcohol as this may worsen the condition. If the symptoms persists or worsen consult to Doctor and get the checkup done.
Hope this helps out,
Regards..
