General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi Sneha,

I understand your health concern.

Having a temperature of 104 degrees for the past 10 days is not a good sign. Antibiotics should not be started without proven infection.

There is an inflammatory process happening in you since there is spleen enlargement. There may be underlying Pneumonia too.

Please follow my suggestions below:

1. It is better to be admitted in a hospital and investigated.

2. Please get a blood culture and sensitivity done. Antibiotics need to be started accordingly.

3. A 5 days course of right antibiotic, along with IV fluids and other supportive measures will help you.

Do not worry. You shall be fine soon.

Regards,
