Dear friend, welcome and thanks for entrusting your query here at HCM!
I am Dr. Prasad Akole (Critical Care Expert- http://bit.ly/Dr-Prasad-Akole) and am glad to address to your query here.
It is unlikely a fungal infection
. It usually causes curdy flakes if candida or blackish flakes if aspergillus
But since it is persistent since 2 weeks despite cough
remedies, I would advise a visit to your doctor to get evaluated.
Only physical examination can tell if there is anything significant.
If you have no fever
, breathlessness, purulent (pus like) phlegm, it is unlikely infective.
I hope you are fully satisfied with the guidance I gave.
I would be glad to answer any further queries. May I request you to rate your experience here before you close.
Thank you and Good luck!
