Persistent Bump Post Formation Of Pimple Under The Armpit, Had Squeezed Pus, Blood Through The Pimple. Worrisome?

A week ago my son had 2 pimples under his armpit. One popped, but the other one didn t. It got fairly big and was very painful and we took him to Urgent Care 4 days ago. They were not able to get any liquid out. Yesterday it finally started oozing. I have squeezed blood and puss out 5 times but there is still a bump. Should I be concerned?

Hi Smith,
Welcome to HCM.
Your son might developed infection on armpit. it may be a boil/ furuncle.
You need not squeeze it so frequently, wash it with antiseptic soap twice daily.
It would be better if you visit a dermatologist/ general physician for diagnosis and management of it.
with regards,
