Periodic Shortness Of Breath, Muscle Weakness, Numbness In Feet, Low Energy. On Bystolic For High BP. Causes ?
For the last 2 or so years, I have had shortness of breath periodically, weakness in muscles, numbness in feet, low energy. It seemed it all started with a back problem which they tell me would require major surgery and dont recommend except as a last resort. My back is better but have all these other abnormal things. It has really restricted my usual way of living. I was put on Bystolic 5 mg about the same time for high blood pressure. I'm wondering if the bystolic could be my problem even though I've been on it for some time.
Looking at your description (keeping aside the fact that you mentioned that your problem is coming from the back), it is possible that you are having a heart failure with hypertensive neuropathy which are both complications of high blood pressure. I do not know if you regular take your medications for High BP (i.e BP permanently under control) because hypertension becomes chronic, complications often arise. It will be best to get a cardiologist look at your current symptoms then do a cardiovascular evaluation to determine if actually you are having a heart failure.
Hope this helps
