Penis Leaking, Frequent Urination After Holding Urine Long. No Relief With Antibiotics, Bladder Pain. Problem?

I am an 18 year old male. I held in my pee for long periods of time during a road trip, and after 25 hours in the car I began to have symptoms. It felt like I still had to pee even after I had gone and the tip of my penis was leaking urine. There was no discharge, but the urine had a foul smell. Three days passed and I finally got home and saw a doctor. They did a urine test and put me on antibiotics for a UTI. Three more days have gone by and symptoms have gotten worse even on the antibiotics. It almost feels like my penis has a sore throat and my bladder and inner thighs ache... They called this morning with the urine test results saying that I was all clear. No STDs and No UTI... So what could the problem be? Something physical? could something have ruptured from holding in my urine? I did start taking 27mg Adderall xrs around the time the symptoms began but Ive been on Adderall in the past and have never had symptoms like this before. I am an overall active healthy person. Please help me, I'm in a lot of pain.

Hello,

Thanks for posting on HCM,

Your description is suggestive of a UTI and the fact that your urine analysis coming clear does not mean you do not have UTI. You could be having urethritis which might only show positive results upon urethral swap and analysis. Your doctor could insist on a culture too which can also prove more useful since it might also determine the type of antibiotics sensitive to your infection.
If infection of the genitalia or urinary tract is not the cause, then it is possible that prolonged retention of urine might have lead to a bladder and/or urethral injury or inflammation due to pressure. In this case, only antiinflammatory pain killers in order to get rid of this pain.

Hope this helps
