Pearl Like Bumps On The Knuckles, Behind The Knees, Toe Knuckles And Elbows. Severe On Exposure To Heat And Sun. What Are These?

Is it possible to have an autoimmune disease with symptoms such as pearl -like bumps that only occur on knuckles back of hand on knuckles, behind the knees, on the toe knuckles, and elbows? they only occur once in awhile meaning once every year or a little less. They really start to show when I am exposed to a lot of sun and heat.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The small bumps on the joints are likely to be immune related if these are recurrent in nature. You need to get one of those bumps biopsied to find out the exact cause. Vasculitis may be an associated reason.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
