Patches Of Dry And Scaly Skin On Legs And Buttocks, Not Itchy, Soreness Upon Scratching

This is a condition I have had for years. As a child I went to a doctor and he suggested it was ringworm , but the treatment didn t work. I m now fifty (male) and I get small round/oval patches of dry, slightly scaly skin, mainly on my legs and buttocks which gradually die away. They are not itchy at all, but if you do scratch them they become a bit sore.
