Patch On Right Forearm, Painful To Touch, Mysteriously Disappeared, New Spot On Left Hip. Causes?

For a couple of weeks I had a patch about the size of a golf ball on my right forearm that was extremely painful to touch. It felt like a really bad bruise and/or sunburn , but there was nothing there and I had not injured myself. The painful spot went away as mysteriously as it came but now I have another just like it on my left hip. What s going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi,
what you are describing in medical terms is called ecchymosis
you need to be investigated for many medical conditions like liver disease, leukemia, kidney disease, cancer of the lymph glands.
or it could be a blunt injury that you might not be aware of.
treatment usually involve ice application, elevation of the limb affected, rest, painkillers and heat application.
suggest you should visit a physician for further followup and treatment.
hope have helped to answer your query.
get well soon.
